Jumping low
An inquire on jumping in
low sphere floorwork.
A Workshop proposition.
Propelling ourselves off the ground and into the air has been a dream of humanity for a long time. Leaping, bouncing, skipping, hopping high and far on our feet is what excited us most as children.
Jumping low confronts us with new variables, which require different coordination strategies for propulsion, take off and safe landing.
How to overcome merciless gravity?
How to evaluate hight, distance and duration of the flight phase?
What forces can we steer during the launching phase and what are our options in terms of post-launch adaptations?
Between the challenging ups and downs of low sphere jumping, may we enjoy moments of gliding.
