My hand has been educated. A persistent and enduring adult gesture that knows that persistence, effort and fatigue will once be overcome and lead to something new.

On the other hand, the raw, naive undetermined gesture of the child that I still am. In these moments I invite pure unguided movement to manifest.

The movements of my hand are the enhancement of the intrinsic need for my body to move. Moved from the alchemy of the body-mind, as Nita Little calls it. My body-mind’s memory carries both the adult and the child. Inquisitiveness and analysis. I strive for an open fluent dialog between the two that perhaps, eventually, will lead me to mastery.
