Meaningless and heartbreaking

A dance collection

The ingredients of this dance collection
is matter, space and time, as far as time exists.
Here, the body is in service of life,
no preconceived message or meaning to be delivered.
No more than a testimony of its existence and agency
to give shape to what it feels, thinks, imagines.
And yet, it carries the potential to remind
whoever is watching of what moves or once moved you.
Watch closely.

Poem by Christophe Tarkos

When there is death, there is an organization. Death organizes itself. When there is a death, there is an organization that organizes itself around the dead. Death is not doing nothing; death is organizing the death of the dead. When there is a dead, one must organize, one must organize one’s death, one must make one’s death. Making one’s death is not doing nothing; one must organize to do it, it needs an entire organization; death organizes itself, it turns death into an organization, an organization will surround the dead, the organization wraps itself around the dead, one must make the dead, il faut s’organiser pour faire le mort, one must organize to make the dead, it organizes itself, it wants to do something, it must organize to do something, it must move everything around the dead, it must move itself, the organization does something around the dead, the organization is everything that is done to make death, the dead must be made, the organization is the entire death, the entire organization arranges to make death, the entire organization is an atmosphere to make death. the organization and death are one and the same thing. l’organisaton est la mort, the organization is death.
